I’m a data analyst, barbershop harmony enthusiast, amateur web developer and designer, and lover of all things technology; living in Toronto, Ontario and working in Guelph, Ontario.
I work primarily as a research and data analyst for Synthesis Agri-Food Network, where I help provide professional services in strategic consulting, education programs, and communications services, to help clients in the agriculture and food sector achieve their business goals. I’m also the day-to-day technical support lead for the company, providing general IT and software support for staff, as well as basic server and database maintenance.
If I’m not in the office, you can usually find me off somewhere singing. I sing lead in my barbershop quartet, ‘Shoptimus Prime, 2015 International Collegiate Quartet silver medalists. I also serve as lead section leader with the Toronto Northern Lights, 2013 International Barbershop Chorus Champions.
Even when I’m not singing, I probably have my hand in some sort of musical project. As VP Marketing & PR and webmaster for the Ontario District of the Barbershop Harmony Society, I’m responsible for promoting barbershop singing in Ontario, marketing our activities and events, and improving the district website. I also serve on the board of directors of Sing Canada Harmony Scholarship Fund, a registered charity which supports vocal music in the communities and schools of Canada.
And when I’m not doing any of the above? You can find me doing a crossword puzzle, creating a website (like this one), enjoying a good beer, reading up on the latest technology news, or looking for my next project or opportunity. Think you’ve got an idea for that project? Drop me a line and let me know how I can help you. I love a new challenge!
